Dr. Mollah is a renowned academician in natural sciences in the country and has more than 25 years of working experiences with a large number of natural resource management (fisheries, wildlife and biodiversity), ecological impact assessment and climate change related projects. His particular interests relate to undertaking action research and case studies on biodiversity conservation and NRM. He has unparallel experiences in conducting ecosystem appraisal and situational analysis using PRA and FGD tools. He is a highly able person to lead multidisciplinary field team.
Dr. Mollah is highly specialized in conducting ecological assessment, biodiversity survey and monitoring, and ecological impact assessment. He is also highly experienced in donor/GoB funded project administration and management. He was involved with more than a dozen of projects as an Ecologist and Team Leader of the Ecological Assessment Component of EIA projects, sub contracted to Nature Conservation Management (NACOM).. Dr. Mollah is also experienced in Management Plan development for habitats and species. NRM and Management of protected Areas. He is highly experienced in intervention planning and setting implementation strategies for participatory NRM and biodiversity conservation projects.
Dr. Mollah is familiar with policy issues relating to fisheries, wildlife, forestry and provides inputs to policy formulation by the government. He is also familiar with local level issues in NRM governance and experienced in addressing and promoting good governance practices at the local level. Dr. Mollah has been also playing role in policy advocacy relating to forestry and wetlands. He is represented in many Technical Committees of the Ministry of Environment and Forests. He was involved with the preparation of Management Plan for Tanguar Haor, a Ramsar site in Bangladesh. He also took the lead role in preparing the Management Plans for Teknaf Peninsula Ecologically Critical Area (ECA) and Sonadia Island ECA.
Dr. Mollah is highly capable of preparing project deliverables, including the preparation of project completion reports, inception report, progress reports and technical reports on project findings.
