Conservation and Monitoring of Migratory Shore Birds in Coastal Areas of Bangladesh with Emphasis on Spoon-billed Sand Piper-Phase I and II.

The main objective of the project is to conserve the Spoon-billed sandpiper and other migratory shorebirds on the central coast of Bangladesh. However, the specific objectives were to:

  • Assess and monitor migratory shorebirds, including spoon-billed sandpiper.
  • Identify staging grounds of the shorebirds within the project site.
  • Undertake policy advocacy and awareness-raising activities for the conservation of migratory shorebirds.
  • Prepare a documentary film on migratory shorebirds.
