Are you passionate about conserving our precious biodiversity? Nature Conservation Management (NACOM) invites applications for the role of Field Manager (Male/Female) for a donor-funded project on Biodiversity Conservation in Cox’s Bazar district.
·A graduate in biological science, preferably in Zoology/Wildlife Biology, or any other relevant field from a reputable university.
·At least 4-5 years of relevant working experience (experience requirement can be relaxed for candidates with excellent research experience).
·Strong computer skills and proficiency in Data Analysis.
·Ability to conduct extensive and regular travel within the project area.
·Ability to perform well under pressure.
·Adept at working with a diverse team.
·Effective communication skills with local and international stakeholders.
·Understanding the local language will be an added advantage.
·Oversee the successful implementation of all project activities.
·Prepare monthly, quarterly, and other necessary reports.
·Assist clients during field visits.
·Organize and conduct training sessions for fishermen and local communities to conserve threatened marine and shorebird species.
·Engage in consultations with different stakeholders, including local, national, and government officials, and academia.
·Arrange training sessions for high-level officials on the importance of marine species conservation and ECA rules.
·Conduct monthly fish landing station surveys.
·Conduct fish drying center surveys.
·Supervise and manage established turtle hatcheries (2).
·Organize conservation committee meetings.
·Perform other activities as per the work plan.
·Undertake any other responsibilities as deemed fit by NACOM Management.
Report to: Team Leader
Gross Salary: BDT 50000 -BDT 60000 per month (All inclusive and based on Experience)
Duration: 10 Months (January 2024- October 2024) (Possibility of extension based on the availability of funds and continuation of the project.)
